This episode has been a couple of years in the making and it is guest hosted by watchmaker, diver, raconteur, and friend-of-the-show, Jason Gallop. As many of you already know, Jason is the proprietor Roldorf & Co, a watch business in Vancouver, Canada that offers both sales and service.

It was also in 1953 that the Explorer reference 6350 was released. While not technically the first Explorer, it is the first to feature the Explorer name on the dial. Featuring Arabic numerals at 3, 6, and 9, a 36mm case size, and black dial, this watch was the foundation for the Explorer design language going forward.
This extremely limited run of just 25 units captures the elegance and beauty of anOrdain's manufacturing process, complete with a new Model 3 case design and painstakingly hand-crafted sunburst enamel dial that makes each individual watch as unique as a fingerprint.
